Booster Station Upgrades

AGUA SUD has started water storage improvements at 3 water boosting stations. Water booster stations; do exactly as the name implies boost water from one section of the water system to another.

Salida del Sol Water Booster Station in the Salida del Sol/Pueblo de Palmas area currently has 44,000 gallon water storage and a new 100,000 gallon water storage tank is being constructed, for a total of 144,000 gallons of storage. Also there will be a pumping capacity at this station from 750 gallons a minute to 1,500 gallons a minute with automatic variable speed controls to pump water according to the demand from system.

Western and FM 2221 Water Booster Station an additional 100,000 gallon water storage tank will be constructed for a total of 170,000 gallons, pump improvements are pending.

Doffing Road Water Booster Station an additional 100,000 gallon water storage tank will be constructed for a total storage of 170,000 gallons, pump improvements are pending.
