Reverse Osmosis Plant

The Receiver was purchasing water from a neighboring city; the contract expired when the city no longer had capacity to sell water to La Joya WSC. Immediately the Receiver looked for an alterative interim water supply source to supplement the system. ®General Electric Corporation is a manufacturer of mobile (trailer mounted) Reverse Osmosis systems. La Joya WSC drilled 3 wells that can each deliver 300 gallons per minute per day. These well waters will be treated to deliver 1.2 million gallons per day. These mobile high capacity mobile Reverse Osmosis systems will be the first of this type used in the Rio Grande Valley. There is a possibility that the well system may become a permanent Reverse Osmosis plant that will not be dependent on the Rio Grande as its source for water, there are already many Reverse Osmosis water treatment plants in the Rio Grande Valley from Raymondville to Brownsville. We are currently in the permitting stages and also about to run trial tests on the systems.
